General

The General Settings page allows you to configure basic information and features for your zone, including notification preferences, zone information, and API keys management.

Accessing General Settings

To access the general settings for a zone:

1. Navigate to your zone
2. Click on “Settings” in the zone header (admin access required)
3. By default, you’ll be taken to the General settings tab

Note

Only users with admin privileges or the zone owner can access and modify zone settings.

Notification Settings

Control how and when push notifications are sent:

• Enabled - When turned on, all events trigger notifications
• Enabled, on error code - When turned on, only events with error codes trigger notifications

Tip

You can override these zone-level notification settings at the group level for more granular control.

Notification Icon

Customize the icon and color used for push notifications from this zone:

1. Select an icon from the available options
2. Choose a color for the icon

This icon will be used as the default for all notifications from this zone unless overridden by group settings or in the API call.

Zone Information

Update the basic information for your zone:

• Name - A user-friendly name for your zone (1-32 characters)
• Alias - A unique identifier used in API calls (2-32 characters, allowed characters: a-z, 0-9, underscore, hyphen)

Caution

Changing the zone alias will affect existing API integration. Make sure to update any scripts or applications that reference the old alias.

API Keys

Manage API keys used to authenticate requests to the Notifery API:

• View existing API keys
• Create new API keys (if none exist)
• Copy API keys to clipboard

Note

For security reasons, Notifery only allows one API key per zone in the current version. This may change in future versions.

Danger Zone

This section contains destructive actions:

• Delete Zone - Permanently removes the zone and all associated data

Danger

Deleting a zone is permanent and cannot be undone. All events, groups, and API keys will be permanently deleted.
