Settings

The Settings page provides options to manage your Notifery account preferences and perform account-related actions.

The Settings page is divided into five main sections:

  1. General - Basic account management options
  2. Appearance - Customize the look and feel of the application
  3. In-app Notifications - Configure how incoming events appear on this device
  4. Email Notifications - Configure email summary preferences
  5. Danger Zone - Actions with significant consequences, such as account deletion

The “Sign Out” button allows you to log out from your Notifery account on the current device. After signing out:

  • You will be redirected to the sign-in page
  • You will need to authenticate again to access your account
  • Your notification devices will remain registered, but you won’t receive notifications while signed out

Customize the visual appearance of the Notifery application to suit your preference.

Choose between three theme options:

  • Light - Always use the light color scheme
  • Dark - Always use the dark color scheme
  • Auto - Automatically follow your system’s color scheme preference

Your theme preference is saved and will be applied each time you use Notifery.

Configure how incoming events are surfaced on this device. These settings are per-device and stored in your browser’s local storage.

Choose how notifications appear on this device:

  • Push & toast (default) — Incoming events trigger both a system push notification and an in-app toast popup. Provides maximum visibility.
  • Toast only — Events appear only as in-app toast popups within the application. No browser push permission is required. Toasts appear at the top of the viewport and play a custom sound if enabled.
  • Push only — Events deliver exclusively as system push notifications via the browser’s notification system. No in-app popups appear. Requires a registered device.
  • None — No notifications are surfaced on this device.

The “Toast sound” toggle controls whether in-app toast notifications play a custom notification sound. When enabled, a short audio cue accompanies each toast. This setting has no effect on system push notifications, which use the OS default notification sound.

Manage how you receive updates from Notifery via email.

Summary emails provide an overview of activity across all zones you have access to. You can enable or disable two types of summaries:

  • Daily Summary - A daily email showing event counts, error counts, and trends for the past 24 hours across all your zones
  • Weekly Summary - A weekly email summarizing activity and trends for the past 7 days across all your zones

Each summary email includes:

  • Total events and errors across all zones
  • Per-zone breakdown with event and error counts
  • Group-level detail within each zone
  • Trend comparison with the previous period

This section contains actions that have significant consequences for your account.

The “Remove Account” button permanently deletes your Notifery account. This action:

  • Removes your user account and all personal information
  • Deletes all zones you own
  • Removes your access to zones shared with you
  • Cancels any subscriptions associated with your account
  • Deletes all of your notification devices
  1. Click the “Remove Account” button
  2. Confirm your decision in the dialog that appears
  3. Your account will be deleted and you’ll be signed out immediately
